We are looking for a 2D Artist to join our team. In this role, you will create and iterate on the in-game 2D assets that shape the visual identity, clarity, and player experience of Arcustin’s mobile games.
At Arcustin Games, we are building a mobile game studio that uses AI to reduce friction from idea to scale. Octopus, our proprietary AI studio engine, helps us create, test, market, and grow games with more speed, clarity, and precision. Responsibilities;
Create high-quality 2D in-game assets including characters, props, objects, environments, icons, UI elements, menus, buttons, and visual components
Develop visual concepts and ideas for game features, mechanics, content, and player-facing experiences
Translate product briefs, gameplay needs, and design references into clear, polished, and functional visuals
Maintain a consistent and cohesive visual identity across each game
Design clean, readable, and mobile-friendly assets that support gameplay clarity and player experience
Work closely with product, game design, engineering, 3D art, and marketing teams to align visuals with product goals
Iterate on assets based on feedback, testing results, player experience needs, and production requirements
Support the creation of visual variations for testing different styles, themes, characters, items, and UI directions
Use AI tools where relevant to accelerate ideation, visual exploration, asset variation, and production workflows
Prepare game-ready assets with proper formats, naming, structure, and optimization for mobile platforms
Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions for new games, features, visual themes, and content updates
Follow mobile game art trends, casual and puzzle game visuals, and player-facing design patterns
Help improve internal art workflows, asset libraries, visual standards, and production processes
Requirements
2+ years of experience as a 2D Artist, Game Artist, Illustrator, UI Artist, or a similar visual production role
Strong portfolio demonstrating 2D game assets, illustration, UI elements, icons, characters, environments, or mobile game visuals
Proficiency in tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, Figma, or similar digital art software
Strong understanding of color, composition, visual hierarchy, readability, shape language, and mobile-friendly design
Ability to create clean, functional, and engaging visuals for mobile games
Experience with game UI, icons, menus, or in-game visual systems is a strong plus
Ability to adapt to a defined art style while adding strong creative judgment
Openness to iteration, feedback, experimentation, and fast visual exploration
Interest in AI-assisted creative tools and willingness to integrate them into daily workflows
Passion for mobile games, casual games, puzzle games, and crafting clear, enjoyable player experiences
Strong attention to detail and ability to balance speed with quality
Good communication skills and ability to work closely with product, art, game design, and engineering teams
Good command of written and spoken English
Degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Animation, Game Art, Visual Communication, or a related field is a plus
